Since 2016, we have raised funds for the construction of a new purpose-built medical clinic for Chizula Village and surrounding communities in Monkey Bay, Malawi
Shipping Art
Malawi - 2019
Partnered with Rotary International to fund a shipping container stocked with medical and school equipment for Malawi, while local artists painted the container over a week in Docklands, Melbourne.
Youth Projects
Uganda & Malawi - Ongoing
Supporting youth development projects, including the provision of a brick press for the Kahangi Village near Fort Portal, Western Uganda. We also support primary schools with valuable resources such as desks and blackboards,
Surgery for Gift
Malawi - 2013-15
Educaring Africa partnered with the Children First Foundation to provide surgery in Melbourne to Malawian boy Gift James, who suffered from a rare birth defect. Gift returned home to Malawi to his family in 2015.
Secondary Education
Malawi - 2012-16
A pilot sponsorship program which saw more than 100 students in the Monkey Bay area attend secondary school between Standards 8 and 12.
Water and Sanitation
Uganda - Ongoing
Educaring Africa has supported the construction of village wells and toilets in Uganda in partnership with the Africa Sustainable Tourism Care Foundation.
Women
Uganda & Malawi - ongoing
Our partners in Uganda continue to run a thriving women's micro-finance collective and our partners in Malawi have similar ambitions with the support of Educaring Africa.
Since 2012, Educaring Africa has initiated and supported a range of community projects in Malawi and Uganda. From our first secondary school sponsorship project, we have gone on to make a difference in areas of education, community development, healthcare and raising awareness through a number of activations and fundraising initiatives.
